JAGGAER is seeking a Director/Sr Manager, Procurement to lead and elevate our global procurement function. This role reports to the VP, Finance, and combines hands-on execution with strategic direction - owning end-to-end procurement for a fast-growing SaaS company while leading a small, high-performing team. The procurement function provides governance, vendor negotiations, policy oversight, and process excellence. The incumbent will connect teams across the organization - reducing friction, driving accountability, and building a scalable, high-performing procurement operation
Principal Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Planning
- Define and execute JAGGAER’s procurement strategy and roadmap, aligned with company objectives and positioned for scalable growth.
- Advise senior leadership on procurement policy, vendor strategy, risk, and cost optimization.
- Represent procurement in cross-functional forums, including Finance, Legal, IT, and business unit leadership.
- Build a procurement M&A integration playbook and lead procurement workstreams - vendor assessment, contract rationalization, and policy harmonization - to capture synergies following acquisitions.
Cost Savings and Value Delivery
- Deliver measurable, recurring cost savings through strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation, and demand management, supported by spend analytics that track savings against targets.
- Lead annual vendor renewals across key categories - software, professional services, and operational vendors.
- Optimize supplier payment terms to improve working capital and cash flow outcomes.
Process Improvement and Operational Excellence
- Diagnose and resolve procurement friction, prioritizing vendor onboarding and purchase requisition (PR) approval workflows.
- Maintain the Delegation of Authority (DOA) framework to keep approvals efficient while preserving financial and risk controls.
- Finalize and publish a comprehensive procurement policy that standardizes practices and serves as the reference for all employees.
- Build a procurement knowledge base structured for AI-assisted guidance and self-service.
- Develop deep functional knowledge of JAGGAER’s procurement platform and pursue self-service configuration improvements to support process goals, working with IT as needed.
Training and User Enablement
- Design and deliver a procurement training program - covering policy, system navigation, and approval workflows - with materials that are current, accessible, and easy to maintain.
- Drive system adoption across teams by making procurement tools and processes intuitive and low-friction.
Vendor and Supplier Management
- Own strategic supplier relationships across key spend categories, conducting regular business reviews and performance assessments.
- Monitor supplier risk, compliance, and performance, applying a consistent approach to flag and address issues.
- Ensure vendor contracts are current, well-structured, and aligned with business needs and risk tolerance.
Team Leadership
- Directly lead a small team, providing clear goals, regular feedback, and growth opportunities.
- Build a team culture anchored in JAGGAER values: collaboration, transparency, continuous improvement, and results orientation.
Position Requirements
Required
- 10+ years of progressive procurement experience (3- 4+ in leadership), with a track record of delivering measurable cost savings and process improvements.
- Strong command of procurement fundamentals - sourcing, negotiations, contract management, spend analytics, and policy design.
- Excellent English communication skills, with proven ability to influence stakeholders - from working teams to the executive level - and present data-driven business cases.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, particularly with Finance, Legal, IT, and Operations.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams.
- Alignment with JAGGAER’s core values and a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset.
Preferred
- Experience in a SaaS or technology company.
- Familiarity with procurement management platforms, ideally JAGGAER or comparable solutions.
- Experience building procurement policy, training, or governance frameworks, or supporting M&A integration workstreams.
- Experience with AI-enabled procurement tools or knowledge management systems.
