Model N is seeking a highly motivated Technical PrincipalConsultant with demonstrated experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the full software implementation lifecycle, including software development, system configuration, customization, and interface configuration. The Technical PrincipalConsultant will also provide ongoing operational and technical support to ensure system reliability and performance. In addition to proven expertise in the implementation of enterprise-class software packages (based on Java, SQL, Web-based software technology), the successful candidate must possess strong customer focus and be able to take ownership of the planning and execution of multiple projects or work streams simultaneously.
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients. The Technical Principal Consultant will report directly to the Associate Director and contribute to delivering high-quality, innovative technical solutions that meet business and client needs.
Job Description
- Lead technical and operational needs of global clients, ensuring adherence to SLA and service quality metrics.
- Contribute to the implementation of the Model N product features for the customer, including custom refactoring, data migration, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with global clients and internal stakeholders to gather technical requirements.
- Configure the application and interfaces according to the client specifications.
- Contribute to the design, development, and testing of system interfaces.
- Full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations support.
- Provide technical and operational support for deployed solutions, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Provide technical support to the team by developing and optimizing complex SQL queries to meet business requirements.
- Guide team members in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams — development, QA, infrastructure, and customer stakeholders — to ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, configurations, standard operating procedures, and other knowledge documents
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
Job Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline, master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years’ experience in software development & delivery of enterprise software implementations using Java/J2EE technologies, with at least 6 years of experience as a software developer.
- Understanding of SDLC, ITIL, and change management processes
- Strong experience with J2EE deployments. Solid experience with Unix, Linux MS Windows Server operating systems.
- Strong experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Java, and Stored Procedures. SQL Optimization and performance tuning are highly desired
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), integration frameworks, and enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- BE/BTech or ME/ MTech.
