Title: Account Executive

Position Overview

As an Account Executive on Quickbase’s Commercial Expand team, you will be responsible for growing relationships with existing Quickbase customers by helping them identify new ways to use the platform, expand adoption across their organizations, and solve additional business challenges.

You will manage a book of approximately 120 Commercial customers with fewer than 2,000 employees and own revenue growth across that territory. We use a consultative sales approach focused on understanding a customer’s business needs, identifying opportunities for expansion, and aligning those needs with Quickbase capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of approximately 120 existing Quickbase customers and drive expansion revenue through user growth, upgrades, cross-sell opportunities, and new use cases.
  • Develop account strategies to expand Quickbase into new teams, departments, workflows, and business processes.
  • Proactively prospect within your customer base to create demand and generate new expansion opportunities.
  • Build relationships with existing champions and new stakeholders across customer organizations.
  • Identify customer business requirements and operational challenges and recommend Quickbase solutions as appropriate.
  • Deliver effective discovery, sales presentations, demonstrations, and value-based conversations aligned with customer needs.
  • Actively manage a pipeline of opportunities and achieve activity, pipeline generation, and revenue KPIs.
  • Follow up on marketing, partner, product, and customer signals that may indicate an expansion opportunity.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Development Representatives, Solutions Consultants, Customer Success, Renewal Specialists, Product Specialists, and third-party Solution Providers to support the customer.
  • Partner with Renewal Specialists to protect existing business, identify risk, and align expansion opportunities with broader customer priorities.
  • Develop an in-depth working knowledge of Quickbase products and set appropriate expectations with customers.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast information and clearly communicate deal strategy, risks, and next steps.

Qualifications

  • 1–2+ years of closing experience in a technology or software sales role preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Experience managing and growing an existing book of business through upsell, cross-sell, upgrades, and new use cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to solution sell and connect customer business challenges to technology solutions.
  • Ability to ask relevant questions to uncover needs, quantify business impact, and qualify opportunities.
  • Experience actively managing a sales pipeline with multiple opportunities at various stages.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively generate pipeline through outbound prospecting and account development.
  • Ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders and expand beyond an existing customer champion.
  • Technical acumen and ability to learn and demonstrate a moderately technical product.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience utilizing a structured sales methodology, such as Sandler, preferred.
  • BA or BS preferred.

Pay Range

$98,000.00 - $154,000.00

Compensation & Benefits

At Quickbase, we believe in pay transparency and are committed to equitable pay practices.

The compensation range shown above reflects the total expected On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this role, which includes both base salary and target commission. The commission potential is equal to the base salary. OTE applies specifically to sales positions and represents the amount an employee can expect to earn when performance goals are met. The exact compensation offered will be based on experience, skills, and alignment with internal equity. Beyond salary, employees receive access to full benefits package including health insurance, retirement, paid time off, etc.

Incentive Compensation

This role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
