ABOUT YOU:
This role is for a Senior Analytics professional who wants to go deep — not across many things, but into a specific domain of a complex eCommerce system and develop real expertise in how it works.
Tribute Technology operates a large, heterogeneous eCommerce portfolio across thousands of websites and multiple technology stacks. You will own a defined sub-domain of that system — the conversion funnel, for example — and build a thorough understanding of every input that affects it, what normal performance looks like, and how the system responds when things change. The job is to surface intelligence, not to produce reports.
You need to bring meaningful eCommerce analytics experience to this role. The expectation is that you already understand how eCommerce performance works and can apply that understanding to a new and genuinely unusual context. You will work closely with the eCommerce Operations Team Lead and partner with the eCommerce and eCommerce Growth teams.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Own your domain:
- Develop deep expertise in an assigned sub-domain of Tribute's eCommerce system — understand all the inputs that affect performance, how they interact, and what drives outcomes.
- Build and maintain baseline models: given observable inputs, what should performance look like? Identify where the system is over- or underperforming, and why.
- Maintain a forward-looking view of performance in your domain — surface anomalies and emerging trends before they appear in top-line metrics.
- Measure what changes:
- When changes are made — product updates, platform changes, configuration adjustments — measure how your domain responds and communicate clearly what happened.
- Distinguish deliberate change effects from background variation and portfolio mix shifts. Be precise about what the data supports.
- Monitor how the system responds to initiatives run by the eCommerce Growth team; provide clean measurement of outcomes within your domain.
- Maintain a record of changes, system responses, and learnings over time.
- Analysis and tooling:
- Write and maintain SQL across BigQuery and Athena for both recurring analytical work and ad hoc investigation.
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI and Looker/Looker Studio that surface performance intelligence.
- Work within GA4 for behavioral and funnel analysis — event model, path analysis, custom dimensions.
- Identify data quality issues in your domain; partner with data engineering to resolve them and distinguish data artifacts from genuine business signals.
