THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Director, Brand Marketing & Communications at Xactly, you won't just manage the brand—you'll own its strategic evolution. This is a high-impact, "player/coach" role where you define the brand vision, protect the identity, and amplify Xactly's story across the market. You will directly lead our internal Brand & Creative Services team (covering content, design, social media, and PR) while strategically guiding key external agencies and vendor partners. Your mission is clear: drive creative excellence, build meaningful brand awareness, and deliver clear and concise communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Awareness: Develop and execute strategic, high-impact market awareness campaigns and initiatives designed to build measurable brand affinity and reputation globally.
Brand Strategy & Governance: Establish and enforce comprehensive brand guidelines (including visual identity, voice, tone, and messaging architecture) and own the strategic positioning and narrative of the Xactly brand in the market.
Creative Direction: Direct and oversee the marketing creative services function, managing the end-to-end process for the production of all core assets, including website design elements, videos, content, and high-impact sales enablement materials.
Integrated Communications Leadership: Provide leadership and strategic direction for key integrated marketing functions, including PR, Social Media strategy, and Content Marketing to maximize brand reach and consistency.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the team responsible for design, content, social media, and cross-functional project management. Manage relationships, contracts, and performance of all external creative agencies. Implement efficient workflow and asset management systems to ensure operational scale and efficiency.
Event Activation & Brand Reputation: Strategically drive the elevation of our brand and corporate reputation through high-impact event activations, ensuring consistency and creative excellence in all experiential touchpoints, including internal and employer branding events.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
10+ years of progressive experience in brand marketing, integrated marketing, or creative direction.
5+ years of formal people management experience, including successfully leading and mentoring multi-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to operate successfully as a player/coach, balancing strategic leadership with individual, hands-on execution of critical deliverables.
Proven expertise in establishing and championing brand guidelines and design systems in a high-growth environment.
Demonstrated success in developing and launching strategic, multi-channel brand awareness campaigns.
Exceptional strategic thinking, writing, and communication skills with a high comfort level presenting vision and plans to executive leadership.
Strong operational focus and experience managing budgets and external agencies.
Strong project management skills and able to scope work, set timelines, manage vendors, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across Sales, Product, and Marketing to drive alignment and shared outcomes.
PREFERRED NOT REQUIRED
Experience in the Incentive Compensation, Sales Performance Management, or Revenue Operations space.
Experience in marketing to the Office of the CFO and CRO.
Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

There is no expectation of approval for an international relocation for this job.The compensation range is specific to the posted job location and role and takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, performance, and market and peer comparisons. Salary ranges allow for growth opportunities as the employee develops new skills and/or hones current skills.
A reasonable range estimate is $157,000 to $196,000 plus bonus.
