What You'll Own

• Lead and develop a team of engineering managers and senior technical leads, fostering an environment where feedback is direct, growth is structured, and accountability is shared

• Own engineering delivery health across your teams, tracking cycle time, escaped defects, and review capacity to surface real constraints and drive continuous improvement

• Set and uphold standards for code quality, architecture, and AI-assisted workflows by staying close enough to the work to evaluate it with credibility

• Drive adoption of AI tooling thoughtfully, distinguishing where it meaningfully accelerates delivery from where it requires closer human judgment

• Build and maintain the engineering leadership pipeline by actively developing career paths and preparing engineers for greater scope as the nature of execution work evolves

• Partner with Product, Design, Security, and Compliance to navigate tradeoffs, communicate honest gaps, and ensure automated or agent-driven systems meet governance standards

• Present metrics, delivery updates, and strategic recommendations clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

• Other related duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• 6+ years managing software engineering teams in a cloud-based SaaS environment

• 2+ years managing managers or senior technical leads

• Hands-on technical experience with Ruby on Rails, React, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or a comparable stack, sufficient to review code, discuss architecture, and evaluate technical decisions firsthand

• Experience working with and setting standards for AI-assisted development workflows, including a clear, concrete understanding of where AI tooling performs well and where it requires closer oversight

• Fluency in engineering metrics that reflect real delivery constraints, including cycle time, escaped defects, and review capacity, with a clear understanding of why PR count or lines shipped can mislead

• Demonstrated track record of developing managers or senior engineers, with a point of view on how career growth evolves as AI absorbs more routine execution work

• Strong communication skills with experience presenting metrics, tradeoffs, and honest gaps to senior leadership and cross-functional partners

• Experience partnering with Security and Compliance teams on governance for automated or agent-driven systems

Preferred Experience

• Direct experience leading teams through AI-assisted or spec-driven delivery practices at the management level

• Experience in multi-tenant SaaS, ideally in hospitality, events, or another vertical SaaS category

• Familiarity with eval frameworks or quality benchmarking for AI-generated code

This position is open to remote candidates eligible to work in the United States. Week 1 of onboarding is in-person, based out of our Concord, MA office. A hybrid work schedule will be offered if the ideal candidate is based near our Concord, MA office. Additional travel may be required for meetings, company events, and training.

Salary Range: $180,000 to $220,000 annually

Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, skill set, geographic location, and alignment with our internal compensation framework. This role is also eligible for additional benefits and incentives.
